Earthquake in Philippines cause panic

At least 26 persons dead, 52 injuret and 71 missing in an earthquake with magnitude 6.9 at a depth of 10 kilometers, centered off the heavily populated central island province of Negros and Cebu.

A local tsunami alert carries out where people are urged to exercise caution and to avoid the beaches, but no evacuation order was given.

The quake followed by several aftershocks, said the Philippine seismological institute.
